SIMTAG IRIS

The SIMTAG IRIS is a two-pedal sim racing set (throttle and brake) built around automotive-grade racing pedal hardware. The base is a Tilton 600 forged aluminum two-pedal floor-mount assembly, modified by SIMTAG for sim racing use. The brake uses a Wilwood hydraulic brake master cylinder, with brake pressure measured by a Bosch pressure sensor for force-based input rather than travel-based. The throttle position is measured by a Bosch automotive throttle position sensor. Connectors throughout use Cosworth automotive dust and moisture-proof connectors. The GRENADE system is a proprietary SIMTAG hydraulic push-cylinder that modulates brake feel and resistance, adjustable via a cap on the GRENADE unit. Brake pressure can also be adjusted via the Simucube 2 True Drive software or a USB controller. Pedal pads are adjustable with individually selectable angles. The entire assembly has been optimized for strength and weight using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). PTFE-coated aluminum clevises and oil-impregnated bronze pivot bushings minimize friction and wear. Connection options include LeoBodnar USB (Option 2) for standard USB HID output. Manufactured by SIMTAG in Spain.
