TH8A Shifter Add-On

The Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter Add-On is a standalone sequential and H-pattern sim racing shifter compatible with Thrustmaster T300RS, T-GT II, TX, and TS series wheelbases, as well as PC via USB. The TH8A provides an 8-position H-pattern gate covering the standard six forward gears, reverse, and a sequential mode that changes the gate to a push-pull sequential operation. Gate selection between H-pattern and sequential is set by a mechanical switch on the unit.

The shifter body is constructed from metal with a metal gear knob. The gate provides tactile mechanical engagement at each gear position. It connects to compatible Thrustmaster wheelbases via the RJ12 port, or to a PC directly via USB as an independent HID device. Mounting uses a standard cockpit rail clamp or desk clamp included with the unit.

The TH8A was Thrustmaster's primary shifter offering for many years before the TH8S. It is suitable for simulation of cars with H-pattern gearboxes and for sequential racing gearboxes in motorsport categories. The TH8S is the current generation replacement with updated internals.
