Product Overview
The SIMRIG SR1 is a three-degree-of-freedom (3DOF) motion system for sim racing, designed to mount to an existing aluminum extrusion sim rig without replacing the cockpit itself. It has been sold since 2018 and is designed, built, and tested in Sweden by SIMRIG. The three motion channels are pitch (front-to-back tilt for acceleration and braking cues), roll (side-to-side tilt for cornering cues), and heave (vertical movement for kerb and bump impacts). The system can also reproduce track geometry—for example pitching the rig forward when driving on a downhill section. The control electronics unit is compact enough to mount under the cockpit seat. The system connects to the PC via USB and operates on 100–240 V AC power supply, requiring no special electrical installation. The actuators attach directly to the aluminum extrusion frame of an existing rig with a small physical footprint. Compatible with SimHub and dedicated motion software. The SR1 is intended for sim racers who want to add motion effects to their existing rig without purchasing a complete new motion platform.
