PROTOTIPO-R

The OMP PROTOTIPO-R is a racing seat designed for prototype and sports car competition, reflecting a shell geometry derived from the seating positions used in prototype racing categories. The -R designation indicates rally and road racing suitability within OMP's naming system. The PROTOTIPO-R shell provides a more reclined, deeply contained seating position than standard GT seats, consistent with the driver position in prototype race cars.

Shell construction uses OMP's composite manufacturing process in Italy. FIA homologation covers the PROTOTIPO-R for sanctioned competition. The shell is designed to work with head restraint systems and full harness arrangements typical of prototype racing regulations. The deeper surround at the shoulder and torso provides containment suited to the higher lateral and longitudinal acceleration environment of prototype competition.

Mounting uses OMP bracket provisions adapted to the PROTOTIPO-R geometry. Harness routing is at shoulder and crotch positions.
