HRC-R Fiberglass

The OMP HRC-R Fiberglass is a rally and circuit racing seat from OMP's HRC-R series constructed in fiberglass composite rather than carbon fiber. The -R shell geometry — elevated shoulder surround and pronounced lateral bolsters — is retained from the HRC-R series. The fiberglass material reduces cost compared to the carbon fiber HRC-R variant while maintaining the structural requirements for FIA competition use.

OMP manufactures the HRC-R Fiberglass at their Italy facility. FIA homologation covers this seat for use in sanctioned competition. The -R profile provides support geometry suited to rally and circuit applications where lateral forces and harness load paths require more containment than standard GT-style seats provide.

Mounting uses OMP's standard bracket system. Harness routing is at shoulder and crotch positions in the -R configuration. The HRC-R Fiberglass is used both in actual motorsport vehicles and in sim racing cockpits. Its fiberglass construction makes it heavier than the HRC-R Carbon but lighter than steel-framed alternatives. Dimensional and weight data are in the OMP product specification.
